Folk In A: Music

My spirtual teacher once said that a lot of people think that once you're enlightened you'll never have any problems.  He said that's not the way it works.  Stuff still happens - cars break, computers crash, relationships get messy.  The difference is how you react to those things.  I distilled that teaching into something I could relate to - LIfe sucks, get over it.

Life sucks and that's the way it is, I don't like it either but it's true.

Just cuz your mom is going crazys, and Dad has lost his brain,
And you're watching your home equity as it goes on down the drain
You just found out your son's in jail and your video is overdue.
Your daughters says she pregnant, and don't you like her new tatoo?

You work two jobs to make ends meet, and sometimes you could use a rest
And that's when the water heater decides it's time that it must divest
itself of water and heating all over your garage
Now don't ya wish you hadn't gone out and bought that brand new Dodge?

And your heart's been broke so many times you've tried to pick up the pieces again,
You get ''em all together  and try to put them back  together and then
You think you'll try another guy, you're  hopin that love might sprout
But your heart starts to leakin cuz when you put it back together you seem to have left some pieces out.

It's a long sad story that i'm telling you to illustrate my point.

I just want to tell you honestly that bitchin bout your life is such a waste
It sucks and that's the way it is, it's what we call the human race
