Knight in Shining Armour
I want to be a knight in shining armor
I want to rescue maidens in distress
I want to be a hero in someone's eyes
I want to be seen as someones best.
I want to look at the world through my visor
My face safely hidden deep within
What's outside bounces safely away from me
I can always dish it out and not let it in
Don't expect me to ever remove my armor
I need protection if I am to be saved
I willingly make such a sacrifice
These things are needed if the world is to be saved.
No one can see me inside my metal suit
They only see a reflection of themselves
If it scares them enough, they will just run away
Claiming the shining armored knight had beat them well.
In a perfect world I'd be a shining armored knight
I'd slay dragons, I'd be brave and resolute.
My own fantasies and fears would be well contained
Inside my precious shining brightly metal suit
